It's safe to say, it's been awhile since we've been on here. I was delusional to think that once the kids were "older," our family wouldn't be "busy."  Life is proving me very wrong and that's most definitely alright.  Life is full.  Our hearts are happy. Here's what we've been doing...

Celebrating Zachary's 5th birthday in Hockeytown.  The Wings lost in the first round, but we were lucky enough to watch the only win of the series!

Zachary and Ellery on a date after a field trip.

Celebrating our Orthodox Easter last weekend. Chris is Risen!

The kids are beginning their scavenger hunt for their Easter bags.

Celebrating Emann's college graduation from Madonna's School of Nursing. So proud of this young lady!

The last month in pictures

It's been a month since we've posted pictures or updates so here are just a few that we'd like to share. At the end of February, we had just enough snow to enjoy a "school snow day" and the kids went sledding. It was a mild winter, but they did get a few chances to bring out the sleds.

Spring around our house means "birthday season!"  Helaina celebrated her 7th birthday in early March and Zach has been celebrating his upcoming birthday since Helaina started celebrating hers.  The kid is rather confused about when his birthday actually is, but he's still enjoying all the fun.

Helaina finished her volleyball season last Saturday. She is already looking forward to next fall!

Benihana for the birthday kids!

And we also spend a weekend at Great Wolf Lodge. These kids aren't having any fun, are they?

Here's a few pictures from the life of Zachary. A man that tells us that he's going to be a hockey player when he grows up.  He's currently enjoying weekly ice skating and soccer lessons before he turns professional athlete. :)

Our Valentines

I had the honor and privilege of attending Helaina's First Grade "Hearty" Breakfast.  All of the parents from the three first grade classes contributed to make it a success.

Helaina with one of her close girlfriends, Alyssa.

One of her best friends and our neighbor, Jackson.

Following the breakfast, Helaina had her classroom Valentine's Day party.  The party was fillsed with crafts, games, and prizes.

Thank goodness for the internet. It helps this creatively challenged mom come up with some rather fun holiday activities.  Both Helaina and Zach have received a heart each day since the beginning of February, telling them why we love so much and what makes them special!

Helaina decided that mom and dad need hearts too.

My heart note reads, "Me and Zach love having you in our house mom! You are a great person!"

Randy and I certainly love our little valentines!
