Helaina "Octopied" Hockey town!

This little guy thinks he is a comedian. He was spying on Randy and me from the stairs after we put him to bed.  Unfortunately, his sleepy little eyes couldn't stay open any longer and this is where we found him on our way up to bed later that night.

Helaina had the chance to attend a playoff hockey game with Randy's parents last week!  It was Game 4 verse Boston and it was one heck of a game.  We ended with a loss and the series is now over, however, she'll have some fabulous memories to cherish forever!

Christ is Risen!

"Christ is Risen! Indeed, He is Risen!"

God is good!  Easter Sunday was such a beautiful, sunny and warm day spent with our family.  There is something so special about Easter and the joy it brings with renewed hope of all things good.
The kids had a scavenger hunt with clues and eggs to help find their Easter basket with goodies.

After an afternoon church service and Easter egg hunt, we spent the rest of the day at Randy's parents' home.  Auntie Georgette had another fun hunt with the kids.  Randy and I were joking that our kids perception of reality is definitely warped.  Every egg they opened for the last week had either money or candy inside.  Oh the joy of having such loving and giving family!

The last of three cakes to celebrate Little Man's 3rd birthday.  This Spiderman lemon cake was chosen by the Zach attack and he enjoyed every minute of his week-long sugar high!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter from our family to yours!  Can you tell which child is a poser and which one is a troublemaker?!? Any guesses :)  At least they are both looking in the same direction and neither are crying.

Spring Birthdays

I'm certain that there are more birthdays in March, April, and May than any other months of the year.  Every weekend, for the last 4 weeks, we have been invited to birthday parties.  We're pretty sure Helaina truly believes she is a "real" princess and Zach thinks that it's normal to eat cake at least 2 times a day.  Oh, to be a kid again :).

Zach's first sport class without a parent!  Baby Jaguars Soccer

But he does have his friend, Austin, in class with him.

Stretching at the end of class, however, the girl next him is not quite sure what he's looking at.

Easter Egg Hunt at the MSU Tollgate Farm.  And yes, Zach put the basket on his head all by himself.  See what we're dealing with here people!!!

Making a bunny hat before the hunt.

Checking out their goodies with Grandma

Hayride back to our car

Isabella's 7th Birthday Party--such a fun day for Helaina.  The kids made their own pizza, decorated their own cake, and had a surprise visit from Princess Belle!

Trevor's 4th Birthday was at The Robot Garage, cool Lego place for kids!

Cake part II for the kids
My parents were in town to celebrate Zach's 3rd Birthday.  Today he wanted to be Batman while blowing out his birthday candles.

And somehow, in just a few short minutes, we lost the batman costume and also ended up shirtless while opening presents.  Good thing he's so darn cute!

Spring is in the air

Well it's technically spring, that's what the calendar says anyway.  Hasn't felt much like spring as we had a little of that "white stuff" on the ground a couple mornings ago, but I do believe there is a proverb that tells us that after every winter, spring is sure to follow.  In the meantime, we are hopeful and anxiously awaiting the warmer temperature.
Little man is about to turn 3.  THREE! He will start preschool in the fall, and after a million attempts, he bravely goes to Kid's Quarters while his sissy swims and a couple times a week I can attend exercise classes.  Allelulia---all milestones I was sure we'd never reach until he was at least a teenager.  We love him more every single day!
Last week, we attended story time at the library with our Parent/Child class.  It's was a hat theme.  Zach proudly choose the pilot hat to wear during story time.

Helaina attended her first classmate birthday party of the year at Sweet and Sassy.  The birthday girl, Syndey, will be in Helaina's kindergarten class next year and also lives in our subdivision.

A princess again...

With some impromptu planning, the Cobb family decided to pay us a visit this past weekend!  It had been 8 long months since we'd seen any of them so we were more than excited to have them with us. LOVE our friendship, love their kids, love their willingness to drive all this way to spend time with our family.

Today was a special day for a few people in our lives.  I was able to attend Sandy and Samer's baby shower for their bundle of joy, Baby Aiden, due to arrive on June 13.  Literally cannot wait to hold that baby and give him snuggles.  We are having a case of baby fever and I'm hoping this helps! :)

And these two cuties, Jacob and Cameron, were Baptized today at our church.  Randy bravely took the kids (I had Sandy's shower) and with the help of his family, spent a lovely afternoon celebrating their special occasion.

Sunday night, feeling blessed and fortunate and loved!  Couldn't ask for more.
