Spring, Spring, where are you? Definitely not a single sign of that lovely season anywhere around here. It's cold and snowy and windy and the kids have cabin fever, but we are all trying really hard to make the most of these fleeting days of winter. Friday afternoon, our little family of 4 decided to go to the Shrine Circus. It was a bit nostalgic, as the last time we were there, Helaina had just turned 2 and we were expecting the arrival of Zachary just days after. Fast forward 2 years and here we are again, this time, with a 4 year old and an almost 2 year old.
Fun with the clowns. Zachary, however, was all about high-fives, no pictures with clowns for him.
Riding the camel. Zachary clung to my arm, no camels for him.
Oh look, cars! Zachary couldn't contain himself. So, we spent over $10 at the circus for the kids to ride a car that we already have at home.
Zachary sat still just long enough to finish a box of popcorn.
And then, Zachary had ants in his pants, so Zachary and Randy spent the next hour feeding the animals in the petting zoo. Over $30 in carrots later, the circus was over. Helaina sat well and enjoyed the show, Zachary will be going again, but not anytime soon.
Today we had lunch with the Easter Bunny. Teta Helen, Helaina, Zachary and I had a great time together doing crafts and eating lunch with the Easter Bunny.
Helaina and the Easter Bunny while Zach was sporting his best high-five. He clung tightly to my arm while his sister gave her best pose.
And now a sure sign that spring is coming, MARCH MADNESS! This what I've been carrying around for the last 2 days. A bracket for me and a bracket for Randy. A highlighter for all the wins and a pencil for my losses. It goes to every room with me so I can update as the scores are posted. My bracket is on the left, "Hoo Hoo Hoosiers"!
