Our celebrations have not ended...oh no...the fun has continued for over a week now. Every year, I love this time of year. The timing has always been great (thanks Mom and Dad) that my birthday falls just two days prior to the 4th of July. It's usually warm, there's always a party to attend, and at some point, we'll watch fireworks. Did I mention I absolutely love this time of year?!
Helaina and I just before we departed for Lake Freeman. Someone is excited to leave a day earlier than her brother. Big sisters get special privileges these days.
The girls playing a little volleyball.
Cookies for lunch?!
Helping Grandma Don drive the boat.
"Grandpa, I got one!" One of the 7 fish that she caught in two days, with the help of Grandpa Don, of course.
Nobody wants to tube with mom anymore :(. We have two big kids that just keep getting bigger!
My new and fabulous sister!
Grandpa has another helper for the day.

Early evening fireworks at the lake
Fireworks from the boat, over the lake. Happy Birthday to me :)!
Saturday morning, we headed back early to Valpo so we could attend the second annual Freedom Fest at the Snooks. Great way to celebrate America's birthday...some friendly, family competition, a beautiful rendition of The National Anthem, awards given to the winners of the events, a delicious dinner and then some serious pool time. God Bless the U.S.A.!
Who knew the Freedom Fest has its' own parade?

And tomorrow, we'll begin our journey back to MI to see Randy. Another memorable vacation in the books but a lifetime of memories. Daddy, we're coming home!!!
