Before we left Indiana a few weeks ago, the kids were able to experience their very first demolition derby! Most people around this part of MI have probably never heard of such a thing, but this was one of my favorite summer time memories as a child. Zach couldn't keep his eyes off the course and was already asking to join in the kids' race next year.
A few fun hours filled with smoke, flying mud, and loud engines. What more could a 4 year old boy ask for?
Helaina and her love for animals is a beautiful thing. Twice this summer, she has cried herself to sleep because she wants a bunny rabbit so badly.
A yearly tradition of fair rides with our cousin, Alexis. Zach is 42 inches and able to ride many of the "bigger" rides this year and with Helaina being about 49 inches, she can ride almost anything at the fair. These kids love their rides!
Helaina was asked to come onto the stage during the magic show :).
We spent a beautiful Monday afternoon at the zoo.
This past weekend, we celebrated Randy's 39th birthday. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank the Lord for this man. He is a wonderful husband, a fantastic father, and a genuinely kind and loving person. Here's to many, many more years and birthdays spent together! We love you!
