Straws and Books

Just two of Helaina's latest fixations...straws and books. Books have been on the list for awhile, but yesterday she finally figured out how to "suck" the straw. Much to her surprise, there was water and milk at the other end. So today I invented a game. Helaina has to crawl up into her chair, sit by herself, read, and then she gets a sip from the straw. Guess how many times we've played that game already today!!! :)

Today we took our first trip to the Livonia Library. We received our library cards and had an official tour. I've been researching "Story Time" at the library, but it just hasn't worked into our schedules yet. It starts back up again this fall, so hopefully we'll be able to attend then.

So happy that "Pooh" was at the library today too!
