Happy Halloween, part 1!

Just a day after our last post, our family got hit hard with yet another round of germs. Randy had a very high fever, cough, and sore throat among other ailments. He is now on round 2 of antibiotics and has had no voice for the last 2 days. We've taken to communicating by pen and paper and finger signals in our house, which Helaina and I find rather amusing. Helaina is finally on the mend. The last 2 days her appetite has returned, her sleeping is normal, and she's full of energy.
Randy's parents have been a GOD SEND through all of this. They've nursed Randy and Helaina back to health while I'm away at work and when I arrive home, the house is clean and the fridge is stocked with warm tea brewing on the stove. We are so thankful for everything they do for our family!
Today we tried to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and brought home a small pumpkin for Helaina to draw on. We plan to carve pumpkins for the first time with her sometime soon.
Mommy, Helaina, her pumpkin, and her sucker. This girl has had waaayy toooo many suckers these last few weeks, but she deserves some special treats after feeling yucky for so long.

Just a short little video of Helaina wishing you all a "Happy Halloween!" This girl has got it down and is ready to go out and "get candy!"
