Eastern Market

As all of you reading this blog already know, Detroit is facing its' fair share of struggles. However, having lived in metro Detroit for almost 3 years now, I have realized that you don't have to look very far to find some gems hidden within the city.
On Saturday, we traveled about 20 minutes to downtown Detroit to visit an old favorite of Randy and his family, the Eastern Market. This place was amazing! 4 Sheds as large as football fields filled with fresh, organic produce from local and in state farmers. The most beautiful flowers for very little money...gorgeous hanging baskets for $5. Anything you would want for your family to have a healthy lifestyle and on a budget, we found at the Eastern Market. I can't say enough about this place. Any person who visits us in the months of May through October, we will take you to the Eastern Market!
