Holy heat wave! I am sure you all can relate to the hot, hot, hot temperatures that tortured the Midwest. We had cabin fever, and it's only July! Helaina does fine in this weather, but Zach can only tolerate it for a few minutes at a time. Today we had a family BBQ at the pool to cool off from the previous week. Randy's cousins are in town from IL, and we've spent a couple days hanging out with them.
On a rather exciting note, it appears Helaina has accomplished day-time potty training! For over a week now, she's in panties from the time she gets up in the morning to when she goes to bed at night. She still wears a diaper for her nap and at bedtime. Shortly, we will work on transitioning her to a toddler bed and removing the diapers when she's sleeping. Slow and steady...that's how this girl rolls. THEN...we can start talking about the blankie and the thumb sucking! For now, Randy and I are thoroughly enjoying this milestone!!!
