Staying Busy

It's an understatement to say that the month of December is busy for most people. Randy and I are among the many that find the days before Christmas to pass in the blink of an eye. It's important for us to remember "the reason for the season", celebrating the birth of Christ as we anticipate the birth of our own.
Pictured below is most of the staff from Northville Dentistry. It's hard to believe I'm celebrating my second Christmas as a hygienist with office. The docs take us to downtown Ann Arbor and treat the staff to drinks and dinner. It's one of my favorite meals of the year!
The tale of the 2 Kims. Both of us are hygienists at the office and obviously both of us are "cooking a little something in the oven." Kim McFadden is due at the end of January while my date is the end of February. Oddly enough, our husbands are both dentists and Kim and I also share the same birthday of July 2nd. Kim's been a great resource for me through the pregnancy as this is her third child, and she's a wonderful mom with lots of mommy wisdom.

Randy and I attended a birthing class this Saturday at the hospital where we will be delivering the baby. This 7 hour class was perfect for the first time parents. We learned all about labor, delivery, pain management options, pediatrics, and were able to tour the new hospital and room where all the action will take place. Randy even practiced "Choo Choo" breathing with me, that's bonding at best between a husband and wife! With just 2 short months until the due date, we couldn't be more excited to meet this little person.
